Holden Denyer, a former Lamp Lab member, is a media design student that created the video game "Odonata Odyssey" for the Lamp Lab's Discover a Swamp activity for Maryland Day. His inspiration for creating the video game was to help children learn about aquatic insects while engaging with technology. He first created the video game in 2025 and it was a tremendous hit! The game's success inspired Denyer to create a web browser version of the game. The CMNS college even wrote an article about Holden's game on their website! Holden Denyer's video game is a wonderful reminder that intertwining science and art is necessary to create memorable and engaging educational content.
